A guided 10-15 kilometer ride starting by the Swan River, on an easy quiet rural road to Melshell Oyster Shack. No Hills! Water and snacks provided. See Moulting Lagoon, the amazing bird life and cycle the picturesque Nine Mile Beach on the way, tides permitting.

Meet the owners, Cassie and Ian Melrose, hear their story and the Oyster Shack's history. Experience oyster shucking, taste their freshly shucked oysters, and enjoy a lazy picnic lunch overlooking Moulting Lagoon.

Your picnic lunch will include fresh Tasmanian produce;1 dozen  Melshell oysters per couple, selected Tassie cheeses, crackers, bread, salad, fresh seasonal fruits and a glass of Tassie wine! What a way to end the day!

Visit three vineyards in one day! Available to Swansea Cycle Patrons only.

Cycle through and enjoy a wine tasting at each vineyard!! See the sheep and check out the fantastic scenery at each vineyard and rural property. 

This is the experience of a lifetime! Ride through the properties and through the vines. Meet the people, the owners, the wine maker, the cellar door staff. Learn about the rich history and see the working farms. The cycling is enjoyable (not many hills).

The purchases you make at any vineyard will be collected so you won't have to carry a thing! At the end of this adventure, you will be driven back to your accommodation.

Different to just a bike hire! A self directed tour includes assistance from Sally and John. Besides supplying a bike, helmet, high visibility vest and maps of the area for your use, we provide support by picking you up and driving you to your start point, being available for you during the day if you require pick up and picking up your purchases from cellar doors. This tour enables you to travel on the roads to destinations of your choice around the Swansea, Dolphin Sands and Cranbrook vineyard and oyster farm area. All at your own pace. Enjoy your cycling and we will pick you up when you are ready to go back to your accommodation.

We also provide a picnic upon request for you to enjoy at an extra cost.

Cycling through the vineyards and private properties is only available for escorted cycle tours with Sally, not on Self Directed Tours.
